This European standard specifies the characteristics of adjustable rod ends consisting of:
-   a spherical plain bearing, metal to metal, in corrosion resisting steel, extra wide series (EN 6097);
-   a rod–end with threaded shank with an optional longitudinal groove for locking purposes.
They are intended for use in fixed or moving parts of the aircraft structure and their control mechanisms.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques des embouts ajustables qui se composent :
-   d’une rotule lisse, métal à métal, en acier résistant à la corrosion, série extra large (EN 6097) ;
-   d’un embout avec tige filetée et gorge longitudinale optionnelle pour verrouillage.
Elles sont destinées à être utilisées pour les parties fixes ou mobiles de la structure de l’aéronef et leurs mécanismes de contrôle.

 končnika z očesom in navojno ročico z izbirnim vzdolžnim utorom za zaklepanje.
Namenjeni so za uporabo v fiksnih ali premikajočih se delih ogrodja letala in njihovih nadzornih mehanizmih.

1 Scope
This European standard specifies the characteristics of adjustable rod ends consisting of:
 a spherical plain bearing, metal to metal, in corrosion resisting steel, extra wide series (EN 6097);
 a rod–end with threaded shank with an optional longitudinal groove for locking purposes.
They are intended for use in fixed or moving parts of the aircraft structure and their control
mechanisms.

4 Requirements
4.1 Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass
Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass shall be according to Figure 1 and Table 1 and Table 2.
Table 1: Dimensions and tolerances are expressed in millimetres (inches).
Figure 1: Dimensions and tolerances for Ra max. are expressed in μm (μin).
Values apply after surface treatment.
4.2 Surface roughness
Surface roughness shall be according with Figure 1.
Surface roughness is measured before surface treatment.
