This standard identifies the characteristics for which, as a minimum, limits shall be given in visual grading rules. This standard applies to both softwood rules and hardwood rules and covers visual strength grading of sawn timber of all species likely to be used for load bearing structural purposes. Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften fest, für die zur Unterteilung von Bauholz inverschiedene Festigkeits- oder Sortierklassen in jedem Fall Grenzwerte in den visuellen Sortierregeln anzugeben sind. Diese Norm gilt sowohl für Nadelholz a als auch für Laubholz und behandelt die visuelle Sortierung nach der Festigkeitvon Schnittholz aller Holzarten für tragende Zwecke. La présente norme s'applique aux règles concernant les résineux comme aux règles concernant les feuillus et couvre le classement visuel de la résistance du bois scié de toutes les essences susceptibles de servir à des fins de structures porteuses.
