ISO/TC 126/WG 19 - Revision of ISO 15592-3

This document specifies an atmosphere for conditioning and testing samples of fine-cut tobacco and test pieces made from it. It is applicable to tests on fine-cut tobacco and products and materials used in the manufacture of fine-cut smoking articles for which a prior conditioning is necessary. It is not applicable in the case of test methods for which particular test conditions are laid down elsewhere, for example other tobacco products which are given in ISO 3402.

Le présent document spécifie des méthodes pour le dosage de la matière particulaire totale présente dans le courant principal de fumée d'objets à fumer à base de tabac à rouler (OFTR) au moyen d'une machine à fumer analytique de routine. Il spécifie également la préparation pour le dosage de l'eau et de la nicotine, ainsi que le calcul de la matière particulaire anhydre et exempte de nicotine dans la matière particulaire totale recueillie. Le présent document spécifie la méthode de confection des objets à fumer à base de tabac à rouler à l'aide d’un tube provenant d’une enveloppe spécifiée.

This document specifies methods for the determination of total particulate matter and preparation for the subsequent determination of nicotine-free dry particulate matter present in the smoke from articles made from fine-cut tobacco and expanded tobacco, generated and collected using a routine analytical smoking machine. It specifies the method of making of fine-cut tobacco smoking articles using a tube made from a specified wrapper.
