TC 84 - Equipment and systems in the field of audio, video and audiovisual engineering
To prepare international standards for equipment and systems in the field of audio (including electroacoustic transducers), video, television and audiovisual engineering. This excludes standards for: - receiving equipment dealt with by SC 12A, - audio and video recording equipment dealt with by TC 60, - safety. NOTE 1: Subjects in the field of electroacoustic transducers (loudspeakers, microphones, headphones) will be studied in close co-operation with TC 29. NOTE 2: The programme of work shall be co-ordinated with that of IEC/TC 12 and IEC/TC 60, JTC 1/SC 25 and their relevant Sub-Committees, ISO/TC 36, ISO/TC 42 and ISO/TC 43. NOTE 3: For matters related to Electromagnetic Compatibility, there shall be co-operation with CISPR and TC 77. NOTE 4: Safety of systems and equipment shall be dealt with by either TC 92 or TC 74, as appropriate. NOTE 5: The activity runs from the simplest elements to complete systems.

En sont exclues les normes pour: - le matériel de réception traité par le SC 12A, - l'équipement d'enregistrement audio et vidéo traité par le CE 60, - la sécurité. NOTE 1: Les sujets relevant du domaine des transducteurs électroacoustiques (haut-parleurs, microphones, casques) seront à l'avenir étudiés en étroite coopération avec le CE 29. NOTE 2: Le programme de travail doit être coordonné avec ceux du CE 12 et du CE 60 de la CEI et de leurs Sous-Comité concernés, ainsi que du JTC 1/SC 25 et des TC 36, TC 42 et TC 43 de l'ISO.
