Etablir des Normes Internationales sur les lignes aériennes de tension nominale supérieure à 1 kV. Ces Normes fourniront des critères de conception qui pourront servir de guide à l'établissement de règlements nationaux qui ne diffèreront que du point de vue des conditions locales et du degré de sécurité adopté. Ces Normes porteront sur les charges appliquées et la tenue mécanique de la ligne, les distances d'isolement, les essais de structures, de matériels d'équipement et de fondations. Note.- Sont exclues du domaine d'activité : - Les recommandations ayant pour objet la façon dont les divers éléments constitutifs des lignes doivent être calculés pour résister aux charges mécaniques prescrites. - Les recommandations concernant les essais des conducteurs et des isolateurs, traitées respectivement par les Comités d'Etudes Nos 7 et 36.
