CEN/TC 301/WG 1 - Performances measuring methods

This standard aims at defining the emission measurements for a thermal electric hybrid road vehicle from M1, N1, or M2 2) category, and for tricycles and quadricycles from the motorcycle types 3) .
This standard applies to the above mentioned vehicles whose emission can be tested following the provisions already laid down for conventional vehicles (i.e. Internal Combustion engine vehicle) from the equivalent categories.

This standard aims at defining the range in pure electric driving mode and the consumption measurements for a thermal electric hybrid road vehicle from M1, N1, or M2 2) category, and for tricycles and quadricycles from the motorcycle types 3) .
This standard applies to the above-mentioned vehicles whose range and consumption can be tested following the provisions already laid down for conventional vehicles (i.e. Internal Combustion Engine vehicle) from the equivalent categories.

This standard specifies the principles, conditions and procedures of the test methods to measure the road performances of the partially electrically propelled road vehicles (Hybrid vehicles). This standard is applicable to the concept of road performances which comprises the notions of speed, acceleration, hill climbing ability. This standard applies to the international categories of vehicles M1, M2, M3, N1, N2, N3, and to motor tricycles and quadricycles from t the motocycles types. This standard does not apply to pure electric propelled road vehicles.

This standard specifies the procedure to apply in order to measure the range and the consumption of the electrically propelled road vehicles (pure electric vehicles). This standard applies to the international categories of vehicles M1, M2, N1 and N2 motor tricycles and quadricycles from the motorcyclestype. This standard does not apply to electric hybrid or partially electrally propelled road vehicles. NOTE: An electrally propelled road vehicle is also named an electric vehicle
