2.2.2 Marquage et informations complémentaires
Remplacer le point d) par ce qui suit:
d) Les lampes à deux culots, de tensions assignées 50 V – 250 V, doivent être fournies
accompagnées d’une notice d’avertissement ou d’un symbole comme celui présenté à
l’Article A.4 indiquant que le luminaire doit être débranché de la source électrique avant
l’introduction ou le retrait de la lampe.
NOTE 1 Aux USA, un marquage spécial de l’emballage est exigé concernant l’emploi de lampes tungstène-
halogène de 500 W à deux culots dans les luminaires intérieurs domestiques.
NOTE 2 En Amérique du Nord, une notice d’avertissement appropriée est exigée. L’utilisation du symbole est
facultative.

2.5 Pression du gaz des lampes à basse pression et à très basse tension
à écran intégré
Remplacer le texte existant par le suivant:
En fonctionnement, la pression du gaz des lampes tungstène-halogène TBT à écran intégré, à
basse pression et à culot unique, doit être limitée. Cela doit être obtenu en limitant:
a) la pression à froid à moins de 1 × 10 Pa (1 bar), et
b) le volume de la lampe à 1 cm au maximum, et
c) la puissance assignée à 100 W au maximum.
La conformité est vérifiée par examen et au moyen de l’essai spécifié à l’Annexe B.

The committee has decided that the contents of this amendment and the base publication will
remain unchanged until the maintenance result date indicated on the IEC web site under

publication will be
• reconfirmed,
• withdrawn,
• replaced by a revised edition, or
• amended.


2.2.2 Additional information and marking
Replace item d) by the following:
d) Double-capped lamps, with rated voltages 50 V – 250 V, shall be supplied with a
cautionary notice or symbol as shown in Clause A.4 indicating that the luminaire shall be
disconnected from the power supply before insertion or withdrawal of the lamp.
NOTE 1 In the USA special package marking is required regarding the use of 500 W double-capped halogen
lamps in residential indoor luminaires.
NOTE 2 In North America a suitable cautionary notice is required. Use of the symbol is optional.

2.5 Gas pressure of low-pressure self-shielded extra low voltage lamps
Replace the existing text by the following:
During operation, the gas pressure of single-capped low-pressure self-shielded ELV tungsten
halogen lamps shall be limited. This shall be achieved by restricting:
a) the cold fill pressure to less than 1 × 10 Pa (1 bar), and
b) the lamp volume to 1 cm maximum, and
c) the rated wattage to 100 W maximum.
Compliance is checked by inspection and by means of the test specified in Annex B.
