Advanced technical ceramics - Ceramics composites - Methods of test for reinforcement - Part 2: Determination of linear density

This part of EN 1007 specifies a method for the determination of the linear density (mass per unit length) of ceramic fibres, including silicon carbide, silicon nitride, silicon carbon-nitride, alumino-silicate, alumina or silicon oxide fibres. The linear density is determined on unsized ceramic yarn.

Dieser Teil von EN 1007 legt die Bedingungen zur Bestimmung der Feinheit (Masse je Längeneinheit) von keramischen Multifilamentkabeln einschließlich Siliciumcarbid-, Siliciumnitrid-, Silicumcarbonitrid-, Alumo-Silicat-, Aluminiumoxid- und Siliciumdioxidfasern fest.
ANMERKUNG 1   Wenn die Bestimmung der Feinheit an geschlichteten Multifilamentkabeln durchgeführt wird, muss eine Korrektur durch die Berechnung auf der Grundlage des Schlichtegehaltes erfolgen.
ANMERKUNG 2   In dieser Europäischen Norm werden Kohlenstoff-Fasern nicht berücksichtigt. Für Kohlenstoff-Fasern sollte ISO 1889 angewendet werden.

La présente partie de cette Norme européenne spécifie les conditions de détermination de la masse linéique (masse par unité de longueur) des fibres céramiques, dont le carbure de silicium, le nitrure de silicium, le carbonitrure de silicium, le silicate d'alumine, les oxydes d'aluminium ou de silicium.
NOTE 1   Lorsque la détermination de la masse linéique est effectuée sur une éprouvette de fil céramique dimensionné, il convient d'effectuer une correction par calcul en fonction du taux d'ensimage.
NOTE 2   Les fibres de carbone ne sont pas traitées dans la présente Norme européenne. Il convient à cet effet de se référer à l'ISO 1889.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or
by endorsement, at the latest by March 2003, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by
March 2003.
This document supersedes ENV 1007-2:1993.
