This standard specifies a method for determining the flow of fresh concrete. It is not applicable to foamed concrete or no-fines concrete, nor to concrete with maximum aggregate size exceeding 63 mm.

Diese Norm enthält Fetslegungen für ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Ausbreitmaßes von Frischbeton. Die Prüfung gilt nicht für Schaumbeton oder Einkornbeton sowie bei einem Größtkorn des Zuschlags von mehr als 63 mm. ANMERKUNG: Der Ausbreitversuch ist geeignet für Änderungen der Konsistenz von Beton, die einem Ausbreitmaß zwischen 340 mm und 600 mm entsprechen. Über diese Werte hinaus kann die Messung des Ausbreitmaßes ungeeignet sein, und es sollten andere Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Konsistenz berücksichtigt werden.

La présente norme définit une méthode de détermination de l'étalement du béton frais. Elle n'est pas applicable aux bétons cellulaires, aux bétons caverneux ouaux bétons contenant des granulats de dimension supérieure à 63 mm. NOTE: L'essai d'étalement permet de mesurer des variations de la consistance du béton correspondant à des valeurs d'étalement entre 340 mm et 600 mm. Au-delà de ces valeurs limites, l'essai d'étalement peut ne pas être significatif, et il convient d'envisager l'utilisation d'autre méthodes de détermination de la consistance.
