This standard specifies a method for determining the density of hardened concrete. It is applicable to lightweight, normal weight and heavy weight concrete. It differentiates between hardened concrete in the following states: as-recieved, water saturated, oven-dried. The mass and the volume of the specimen of hardened concrete are determined and the density calculated.

Die vorliegende Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Rohdichte von Festbeton. Sie gilt für Leicht-, Normal- und Schwerbeton. In der Norm wird zwischen folgenden Zuständen des Festbetons unterschieden: wie angeliefert, wassergesättigt, im Wärmeschrank getrocknet. Die Dichte wird aus der Masse und dem Volumen berechnet, die anhand eines Festbetonprobekörpers ermittelt werden.

La présente norme définit une méthode de détermination de la masse volumique du béton durci. Elle s'applique aux bétons à granulats légers, courants et lourds. Elle différencie les bétons selon leur état: état de réception, état humide, état séché en étuve. La masse et le volume de l'éprouvette de béton durci sont déterminés, puis sa masse volumique est calculée.
