This European pre-standard specifies mechanical and structural safety requirements for domestic tables, but not including height adjustment mechanisms and castors. This European pre-standard does not apply to tables intended specifically for use by children or to occasional tables. It does not apply to outdoor tables or changing tables. It does not include durability requirements for castors nor for height adjustment mechanisms. Requirements for ageing and degradation are not included.
