Domestic furniture - Seating - Mechanical and structural safety requirements
This European pre-standard specifies mechanical and structural safety requirements for all types of domestic seating for adults including folding and adjustable seating. This European pre-standard applies to seating that can be converted into beds, but only when in the seating configuration. It does not include durability requirements for castors, for reclining and tilting mechanisms nor for seat height adjustment mechanisms, such as gas cylinders. It does not apply to outdoor seating. Requirements for ageing and degradation are not included.

Diese Europäische Vornorm legt mechanische und konstruktive Sicherheits- anforderungen für alle Arten von Sitzmöbeln, einschließlich Klappstühlen und verstellbaren Sitzmöbeln, für Erwachsene im Wohnbereich fest. Diese Europäische Vornorm gilt auch für Sitzmöbel, die in Betten verwandelt werden können, aber nur in der Sitzstellung. Sie entthält weder Anforderungen an die Dauerhaltbarkeit von Rollen, Neige- oder Wippemechaniken noch für Höhenverstelleinrichtungen wie z.B. Gasfedern. Sie gilt nicht für Außen- möbel. Anforderungen an Alterung oder Verwitterung sind nicht enthalten.

La présente prénorme européenne spécifie les exigences mécaniques et structurelles de sécurité de tous les types de sièges à usage domestique pour adultes, y compris les sièges pliants et réglables. La présente prénorme européenne s'applique aux sièges convertibles en lit mais uniquement dans la configuration sièges. Elle n'inclut pas d'exigences de durabilité pour les roulettes, les mécanismes des sièges pivotants et inclinables et les mécanismes de réglage en hauteur telsque les vérins à gaz. Elle ne s'applique pas aux sièges d'extérieur. L'évaluation du vieillissement et des dégradations n'est pas prise en compte.
