Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt Probenmaße und das Verfahren für die Scherzugprüfung an Punkt-, Rollennaht- und Buckelschweißverbindungen mit geprägten Buckeln an überlappten Blechen aus beliebigen metallischen Werkstoffen, der Blechdicke von 0,5 mm bis 10 mm, wobei die Schweißungen einen maximalen Durchmesser von haben (t ist die Blechdicke in mm). Bei Schweißungen mit Durchmessern > und £ kann der Wert der Scherzugfestigkeit zu klein bewertet sein, wenn die empfohlenen Probenmaße benutzt werden.
Das Ziel der Scherzugprüfung ist, die Scherzugkraft zu bestimmen, die die Proben ertragen kann.
