La présente norme détermine les prescriptions spécifiques de sécurité et les vérifications pour la conception et la construction des machines de récolte des pommes de terre portées, traînées ou automotrices qui effectuent une ou plusieurs des opérations suivantes : défanage, arrachage, ramassage, nettoyage, convoyage et déchargement des pommes de terre. Cette norme est applicable aux machines qui peuvent être utilisées, sans modification, pour la récolte d'autres cultures. En outre, elle spécifie le type d'informations que le fabricant doit donner sur les pratiques d'utilisation sûre.
