This document specifies the required characteristics for four types of heat-shrinkable limited fire hazard sleevings for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between - 30 °C and 105 °C.
This sleeving is flexible, flame retarded and emits minimum smoke, gases and corrosive by-products when exposed to fire. It is available with various wall thicknesses and also in a higher shrink ratio according to the application and degree of mechanical protection required. It is suitable for use (e.g. as cable protection) in areas where smoke, gases or corrosive by-products would constitute a particular hazard.
Type A   Thick wall shrink ratio 2:1 and is normally supplied with internal diameters up to 102,0 mm
Type B   Medium wall, shrink ratio 2:1 and is normally supplied with internal diameters up to 60,0 mm
Type C   Thick wall, shrink ratio 2:1 and is normally supplied with internal diameters up to 51,0 mm
Type D   Medium wall, shrink ratio 3:1 and normally supplied with internal diameters up to 40,0 mm
The standard colour is black.
Sizes or colours other than those specifically listed in this standard may be available. These items shall be considered to comply with this standard if they comply with the property requirements listed in Tables 5, 6 and 7 except for dimensions and mass.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques requises pour quatre types de gaine thermorétractable à risque d'incendie limité destinés à être utilisés dans les systèmes électriques des aéronefs à des températures comprises entre - 30 °C et 105 °C.
Cette gaine est flexible, ignifugée et émet des fumées, des gaz et des sous-produits minimaux quand elle est exposée au feu. Il existe différentes épaisseurs de paroi ainsi qu'un taux de rétreint plus élevé pour cette gaine selon l'application et le degré de protection mécanique nécessaires. Elle est appropriée à une utilisation (par exemple comme protection de câble) dans des zones où des fumées, des gaz et des sous-produits corrosifs peuvent représenter un risque spécifique.
Type A   Paroi épaisse, coefficient de rétreint 2:1 et normalement fourni avec des diamètres internes allant jusqu'à 102,0 mm
Type B   Paroi moyenne, coefficient de rétreint 2:1 et normalement fourni avec des diamètres internes allant jusqu'à 60,0 mm

La couleur usuelle est noire.
D’autres tailles ou d’autres couleurs que celles listées spécifiquement dans la présente norme sont potentiellement disponibles. Ces articles doivent être considérés comme conformes à la présente norme s’ils se conforment aux exigences de propriétés listées dans les Tableaux 5, 6 et 7, à l’exception des dimensions et masses.

Ta dokument določa zahtevane lastnosti za štiri vrste toplotno skrčljivih cevi z izboljšanimi protipožarnimi lastnostmi za uporabo v električnih sistemih letal pri obratovalnih temperaturah med −30 °C in 105 °C.
Te cevi so fleksibilne in ognjeodporne, pri izpostavljenosti požaru pa oddajajo kar najmanj dimnih, plinastih in korozivnih stranskih produktov. Na voljo so z različnimi debelinami stene in tudi z višjim razmerjem krčenja glede na način uporabe in zahtevano stopnjo mehanske zaščite. Primerne so za uporabo (npr. kot zaščita kablov) na območjih, kjer bi lahko dimni, plinasti in korozivni stranski produkti pomenili posebno nevarnost:
– tip A z debelo steno, razmerjem krčenja 2:1 in običajno z notranjim premerom do 102 mm;
– tip B s srednje debelo steno, razmerjem krčenja 2:1 in običajno z notranjim premerom do 60 mm;
– tip C z debelo steno, razmerjem krčenja 2:1 in običajno z notranjim premerom do 51 mm;
– tip D s srednje debelo steno, razmerjem krčenja 3:1 in običajno z notranjim premerom do 40 mm.
Standardna barva je črna.
Na voljo so lahko tudi druge velikosti in barve, ki niso posebej navedene v tem standardu. Upoštevati je treba, da se te postavke skladajo s tem standardom, če so skladne z zahtevami za lastnosti, navedenimi v tabelah 5, 6 in 7, razen z zahtevami za mere in težo.
