This European Standard specifies requirements related to the safety of playpens and folding playpens for domestic use, for children of not more than 15 kg body weight. If a playpen has several functions or can be converted into another function, it must comply with those relevant standards, e.g. changing units, cots, etc.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an die Sicherheit von Kinderlaufställen und klappbaren Kinderlaufställen für den Wohnbereich fest, die für Kinder mit einem Körpergewicht von höchstens 15 kg bemessen sind. Falls ein Kinderlaufstall mehrere Anwendungsmöglichkeiten hat oder für eine andere Anwendung umgebaut werden kann, muß er mit den jeweils zutreffenden Normen, z.B. Wickeltische, Kinderbetten usw., übereinstimmen.
