Es gilt Abschnitt 1 der Allgemeinen Festlegung mit der Ausnahme, dass 1.1 durch folgendes ersetzt wird: Diese Europäische Norm stellt besondere Anforderungen an Überwachungsgeräte füR Sauerstoff entsprechend der Begriffsbestimmung in 3.14 in dieser Festlegung auf, die zur Bestimmung des Sauerstoffgehaltes in Gasgemischen vorgesehen sind.

La présente norme européenne établit des exigences particulières relatives aux moniteurs d'oxygène, tels que définis en 1.3.14 (dans la présente spécification), servant à déterminer le niveau d'oxygène dans les mélanges gazeux. Elle traite des moniteurs d'oxygène avec et sans aspiration. Le domaine d'application comprend, sans s'y limiter, les appareils suivants: a) systèmes d'anesthésie et systèmes respiratoires; b) ventilateurs; c) incubateurs. Les moniteurs d'oxygène ayant des applications dans des laboratoires de recherche ne sont pas visés par la présente norme.
