Resistance spot welding - Male electrode caps (ISO 5830:1984)

Specifies the dimensions and tolerances for male electrode caps for resistance spot welding when a female taper (see ISO 1089) is used to fix the electrode adaptor (see ISO 5829). Applies only to electrode caps for which the electrode force Fmax, given for the diameter d1, does not exceed 4,0 kN. Covers also designation, material and marking.

Diese Internationale Norm legt die Maße und Toleranzen für Elektrodeneinsteckkappen für das Wider-standspunktschweißen fest, bei denen ein Innenkonus (siehe ISO 1089) zur Befestigung des Elektroden-adapters (siehe ISO 5829) verwendet wird.
Sie gilt nur für Elektrodenkappen, bei denen die Elektrodenkraft Fmax, angegeben für den Durchmesser d1, 4,0 kN nicht übersteigt.

The text of ISO 5830:1984 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
