SCOPE
1.1 This safety specification covers the components, the assembly, and the use of consumer trampolines.
1.2 This specification is delimited in its application to trampolines of (1) a minimum bed size of 3300 in.2  (21 300 cm2), (2) a minimum height of 20 in. (51 cm), (3) intended for the purpose of continuous, vertical jumping activities and (4) intended for consumer use.
1.3 This specification is intended to reduce the demonstrated hazards associated with the use of trampolines by consumers. Trampolines primarily used by consumers are in home environments. This specification is not intended to apply to institutional trampolines. Trampolines that adhere to this specification are not recommended for use by children under six years of age.
1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

ABSTRACT
This specification establishes the physical and performance requirements for qualifying construction designs of competition wrestling mats used in U.S. collegiate or high school style (Type I), and international free style (Type II) wrestling. The mats shall be tested and conform accordingly to tensile strength, shock absorption, and thickness requirements.

1.1 This specification covers competition wrestling mats used at the high school and college levels. All mat constructions are included, except felt-core mats enclosed in sewn covers. The intended use of this standard is for the qualification of construction designs.  
Note 1: The known constructions, as of the issuance of this specification are: (1) closed-cell foam cores with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or PVC copolymer coatings, or both, which are integral parts of the mat; (2) closed-cell foam cores with attached fabric cover; (3) foam cores, either open- or closed-cell enclosed in sewn, loose covers, and (4) molded open-cell PVC foam with a dense skin on one surface which is an integral part of the mat.
Note 2: There is no known ISO equivalent to this standard.  
1.2 This specification covers mats used in the two major styles of wrestling: U.S. collegiate or high school, and international free style.

ABSTRACT
This specification establishes parameters for the design and manufacture of fitness equipment intended for use by individuals age 12 and above. The design and construction requirements for the following are specified: (1) stability, (2) support, (3) edges, corners, and tube ends, and (4) moving parts in accessible areas such as rotating and reciprocating points. The equipment shall meet the guarding, enclosure, and spacing requirements specified for: (1) squeeze, shear, and crush points, (2) adjustment and locking means, (3) handgrips (integral, applied, and rotating) and foot support, (4) load development and transmitting components such as ropes, belts, chains, and other means, and chain or gear drives, and (5) intrinsic, extrinsic, and endurance loading. Adequate warnings or warning labels alerting users, third parties, and service personnel to hazards associated with use and service of the equipment shall be provided for consumer, commercial, and institutional fitness equipment. The requirements for site-specific labels and user weight restrictions are specified.

SCOPE
1.1 This specification covers performance requirements and test methods for face protectors marketed, sold, and intended for ice hockey.

ABSTRACT

The equipment types covered by this specification are: externally loaded strength training equipment, work arm actuated (type 1); externally loaded strength training equipment, linear slide actuated (type 2); strength training benches, designed for use with a barbell (type 3); strength training benches, designed for independent use or for use with optional equipment (type 4); external weight storage equipment, any device with the sole purpose to store external weights (type 5); multi-function systems, a machine whose function incorporates more than one station or operation intended for separate exercises (type 6); rack stations (type 7).
SCOPE
1.1 This specification establishes parameters for the design and manufacture of externally loaded strength training equipment, strength training benches and external weight storage equipment as defined in 3.1.  
1.2 It is intended that these fitness products be used in an indoor setting or environment.  
1.3 It is the intent of this standard to specify fitness products for use only by an individual age 13 and older.  
1.4 This standard is to be used in conjunction with Specification F2276, Test Methods F2571, and Test Methods F3104.  
1.5 This standard takes precedence over Specification F2276 and Test Methods F2571 in areas that are specific to Externally Loaded Strength Training Equipment, Strength Training Benches and External Weight Storage Equipment.

Standard Test Methods for Evaluating Design and Performance Characteristics of Elliptical Trainers

SIGNIFICANCE AND USE
4.1 The purpose of these test methods is to provide reliable and repeatable test methods for the evaluation of elliptical trainers assembled and maintained according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Use of these test methods, in conjunction with Specification F2810, is intended to ensure appropriate performance and reliability of an elliptical trainer and reduce the risk of serious injury from design deficiencies.
SCOPE
1.1 These test methods specify procedures and equipment used for testing and evaluating elliptical trainers for compliance to Specification F2810. Both design and operational parameters will be evaluated. Where possible and applicable, accepted test methods from other recognized bodies will be used and referenced. In case of a conflict between this document and Specification F2810, Specification F2810 takes precedence.  
1.2 Requirements—An elliptical trainer is to be tested for all of the following parameters:

1.2.2 Static loading,
1.2.2.1 Handlebars
1.2.2.2 Foot supports  
1.2.3 Adjustable guide systems,
