1. To work out a draft standard containing the general requirements and draft standard sheets for a European System of plugs and socket-outlets with a degree of protection IPX0. 2. To work out a draft standard for adaptors to be used - when inserting the European Plugs into existing socket-outlets and - when inserting the existing plugs into European Socket-outlets. This implies that the Task Force a) shall not work out draft standard sheets for plugs and socket-outlets with degrees of protection higher than IPX0; b) shall not work out draft standard sheets for plugs and socket-outlets for a three-phase system; c) shall not deal with the question of European Boxes; d) shall not deal with special systems for IT circuits or HBES systems. The Task Force may, however, indicate principles for an extension of the proposed European System to cover one or more of these extensions
