CEN/TC 334/WG 4 - Automatic turf irrigation systems

This European Standard specifies the installation methods and the automatic turf irrigation system handover.
Annex A should be used as a check list for system handover (excluding pump stations).

This European Standard provides a document to test the performance of uniformity of water distribution of an automatic turf irrigation system in order to commission the system.

This part of this European standard EN12484 is intended to:  - provide rules for the presentation of the user manual, installation manual, and trouble shooting guide;  - guide the owner and/or the project manager in their choice for the most efficient control system, adapted to their needs and constraints;  - define rules for minimum compatibility among different makes of control systems.

This part of this European Standard EN 12484 is intended to: - set forth the information and requirements taken into account by to project manager for designing an automatic irrigation system and justify the technical decisions made; - quantify and define the equipment and methods used as a basis for carrying out the installation of an automatic irrigation system.

This part of pr EN 12484 specifies the data, irrigation needs, constraints and requirements which have to be presented and quantified by the owner in order to initiate system design, equipment sizing and realisation of automatic turf irrigation system.  This part of prEN 12484 is applicable to  irrigation projects with a surface larger than 1 ha such as golf courses, race courses, large municipal parks and sports fields.
