This document specifies the characteristics of three-pole circuit breakers, temperature compensated with a rated current from 1 A to 25 A, used in aircraft on-board circuits at a temperature between −55 °C and 125 °C for ratings ≤ 15 A and −55 °C to 90 °C for ratings > 15 A and at an altitude of 22 000 m max.
These circuit breakers are operated by a push-pull type single pushbutton (actuator), with delayed action “trip-free” tripping.
They will continue to function up to the short-circuit current.

This document specifies characteristics for 10 A aerospace relays with the following variations of mounting means (e.g. vertical, horizontal), terminal styles (e.g. hooks, pins for soldering, pins for sockets) the associated finishing (e.g. tin plated, gold plated) and coil voltages (e.g. 6 VDC 12 VDC 28 VDC 48 VDC, 115 VAC) for relays with 2, 4 or 6 poles and with or without internal suppressors or LIE protection.
The built-in suppressor limits the voltage transients resulting from the electrical power shut off.
The relay sockets are not described in this document.

Frequently Asked Questions

ASD-STAN/D 2/WG 4 is a Working Group within the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). It is named "Relays, Switches, Push-Buttons". This committee has published 5 standards.

ASD-STAN/D 2/WG 4 develops CEN standards in the area of Information technology. Currently, there are 5 published standards from this working group.

The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) is a public standards organization that brings together the national standardization bodies of 34 European countries. CEN provides a platform for developing European Standards (ENs) and other technical documents in relation to various products, materials, services, and processes, supporting the European Single Market.

A Working Group in CEN is a specialized group responsible for developing standards or technical work within a defined scope. These bodies bring together international experts to create consensus-based standards that support global trade, safety, and interoperability.
