ETSIETSIEN301840-1V1.1.1(2001-06)7Therapidlyincreasingquantitiesofwirelessmicrophones(hereafterreferredtoasradiomicrophones)inoperation,bothlegalandillegal,togetherwiththegreatermobilityoftheusers,eitherprofessionalorprivate,hasledtoaserioussituationwithmanyoccurrencesofinterferenceandirregularoperation.Legalradiomicrophones,beingfundamentallylowpowerdevices,areinterferedwithmorethanthegeneratorsoftheinterference,andsufferprimarilyfromthissituation.TheuseoftheCEPTharmonizedband1785to1800MHzfordigitaldevicesdetailedwithinthescopeenablesmanufacturerstobettermeettherequirementsofthemarket.Inpreparingthepresentdocument,muchattentionhasbeengiventoassurealowinterferenceprobability,whileatthesametimeallowingamaximumflexibilityandservicetotheend-user.Thepresentdocumentisatestingstandardbasedonspectrumutilizationparametersanddoesnotincludeperformancecharacteristicsthatmayberequiredbytheuserorrequirementsforinterfacingequipment.Cordlessheadphones/loudspeakersandconsumerIn-earmonitoringarelowpowerwidebandsystemsthathavesomecharacteristicsincommonwithradiomicrophonesbutarenotcompatiblewithmultichannelradiomicrophonescoveredbythepresentdocument.ThisequipmentiscoveredbyEN301357[6].SIST EN 301 840-1 V1.1.1:2003
