Ta del IEC 60034 zagotavlja splošno podlago za merilne tehnike in instrumente, postavitev preskusnih vezij, postopke za normalizacijo in preskušanje, zmanjševanje hrupa, dokumentiranje preskusnih rezultatov in razlago rezultatov preskusa glede na nesprotne meritve delne izpraznitve na izolaciji statorskih navitij neaktivnih električnih rotacijskih strojev, kadar so preskušani z izmenično napetostjo do 400 Hz.
