Playing field equipment - Football goals - Functional and safety requirements, test methods

This document specifies the functional and safety requirements and test methods for all types of portable/freestanding and permanent/socketed football goals having a total weight greater than 10 kg.
It is applicable to goals used for all forms of football for all age groups, including:
-   11 a-side football;
-   Small-sided and junior football (all forms);
-   Futsal;
-   Recreational play;
-   Training;
-   Competition.
It is applicable to goals intended for use outdoors and indoors.
The following football goals are excluded:
a)   EN 16664, Playing field equipment — Lightweight goals — Functional, safety requirements and test methods (lightweight goals of 10 kg or less).
NOTE   The rules of futsal also allow the use of handball goals. Requirements for handball goals are given in EN 749.

Spielfeldgeräte - Fußballtore - Funktionelle und sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren

Dieses Dokument legt funktionelle und sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen sowie Prüfverfahren für alle Arten von ortsveränderlichen/freistehenden sowie festen/standortgebundenen Fußballtoren mit einem Gesamtgewicht von mehr als 10 kg fest.
Es ist auf für alle Arten von Toren, die für den Fußballsport in allen Altersgruppen verwendet werden, anwendbar, z. B.:
-   Fußball mit 11 Spielern je Mannschaft;
-   Kleinfeld- sowie Kinder- und Jugendfußball (alle Arten);
-   Futsal;
-   Freizeitspiel;
-   Training;
-   Wettkampfsport.
Es ist sowohl für Tore, die für den Gebrauch in Innenräumen vorgesehen sind, als auch für solche, die für den Gebrauch im Freien vorgesehen sind, anwendbar.
Die folgenden Fußballtore sind ausgenommen:
a)   EN 16664, Spielfeldgeräte — Leichtgewicht-Tore — Funktionale, sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren (Leichtgewicht-Tore von 10 kg und weniger).
ANMERKUNG   Die Futsalregeln lassen auch die Verwendung von Handballtoren zu. EN 749 enthält Anforderungen an Handballtore.

Equipements de jeux - Buts de football - Exigences fonctionnelles et de sécurité, méthodes d'essai

Le présent document spécifie les exigences fonctionnelles et de sécurité ainsi que les méthodes d’essai pour tous les types de buts de football, mobiles/autostables et fixes, dont le poids total est supérieur à 10 kg.
Il s’applique aux buts utilisés pour toutes les formes de football pour toutes les catégories d’âge, notamment :
-   le football à 11 joueurs ;
-   le football Junior et en effectif réduit (toutes les formes) ;
-   le football en salle (futsal) ;
-   le jeu récréatif ;
-   l’entrainement ;
-   la compétition.
Il s’applique aux buts destinés à une utilisation en extérieur ou en intérieur.
Les buts de football suivants sont exclus :
a)   les buts légers dont le poids est inférieur ou égal à 10 kg couverts par l’EN 16664, Équipements de jeux — Buts légers — Exigences fonctionnelles, exigences de sécurité et méthodes d’essai.
NOTE   Les règles du football en salle permettent également l’utilisation de buts de handball. Les exigences relatives aux buts de handball sont données dans l’EN 749.

This document is currently submitted to the CEN Enquiry.

Introduction
This document specifies requirements for all types of goal used for football, including adult, youth and
small sided versions of the game, both for competitive play and competitions. It specified requirements
for all types of football goal that have a weight greater than 10 kg and includes socketed goals and
freestanding goals.
1 Scope
This document specifies the functional and safety requirements and test methods for all types of
portable/freestanding and permanent/socketed football goals having a total weight greater than 10 kg.
It is applicable to goals used for all forms of football for all age groups, including:
— 11 a-side football;
— Small-sided and junior football (all forms);
— Futsal;
— Recreational play;
— Training;
— Competition.
It is applicable to goals intended for use outdoors and indoors.
The following football goals are excluded:
a) EN 16664, Playing field equipment — Lightweight goals — Functional, safety requirements and test
methods (lightweight goals of 10 kg or less).
NOTE The rules of futsal also allow the use of handball goals. Requirements for handball goals are given in
EN 749.

opening or area which forms the target for ball games, usually comprising two uprights and one
crossbar
Note 1 to entry: Includes any other parts such as net, net support, net fixing, socket(s), anchoring system(s),
wheels and handles, which are permanently fitted to the goal.

portable goal
goal structure which, when erected or assembled is stabilised by means of a specific anchorage or
weight system which enables the structure to withstand the required design and test loads
Note 1 to entry: Portable goals can be referred to as movable goals or free standing goals.
Note 2 to entry: See Annex B for more information on portable goals.
Note 3 to entry: To minimize the weight that is necessary to stabilize the portable goal it helps to have a runback
that measures at least 75 % of the height.
