Lays down a series of outside diameters, a range of bore sizes and certain internal dimensions with their tolerances, for as-sintered pellets of hardmetal, used as wire, bar and tube drawing dies.

Concerns cover page and page 1. Modify the title as follows: "Wire, bar and tube drawing dies with hardmetal (carbide) core - Specifications". Modify the first sentence on page 1 correspondingly.

Amendment 1 of ISO 1651/1974 concerns cover page and pages 1, 2 and 3. Modify the general title as follows: "Hardmetal (carbide) core tube drawing plugs - Dimensions". On page 1, clause 1, replace the first and second sentences by new ones. Pages 2 and 3: modify each title (clauses 2 and 3) in accordance with the titles given in this amendment.

Specifies the main dimensions for the certain number of tool types, and the codified designation of dies and the marking. Details not indicated are left to the discretion of the manufacturers or should be specified in national standards. Includes, in annex A, a comparison of several dimensions for various types of drawing dies, and, in annex B, a terminology, in several languages, for characteristic elements.

Specifies the general dimensions of tube drawing mandrels with respect to their diameter. applies to brazed drawing mandrels and sleeved drawing mandrels. The dimensions have been determined taking existing practice into account as far as possible. Threads are given in both measurement systems (metric and inches) so as to allow the use of these mandrels on any machine.
